Creatively Spooky!!

Happy Halloween!!!  Here's a little goodie I did to support my tigers on their quest for the "Best in West" this Saturday :)
So of course this past week was all Halloween-ed out.  I threw a pumpkin carving party (where the LSU pumpkin wasn't featured), but my witch hat melting was! Along with some other friends' designs.  Also at this party is where I put into effect some ideas from Pinterest! I busted out the Frankenstein cupcakes, spiderwebs, & witch hats (just click on the title to go to the creator's blog).  Along with some cookies I decorated when I got bored one night & decided to make random sugar cookies...
SUGAR COOKIES
Everything was super easy to make & delicious.  The sugar cookies are just a recipe I found on the internet, using ingredients I already had at home & the icing is just confectioner's sugar & milk along with some orange food coloring.  I really liked the spider webs but they are a bit difficult to eat...the white "web" easily breaks apart once you start eating.

I'm also a HUGE Halloween decorator!! I will spare everyone all of my decorations...which include lots of Scooby Doo in costume (a vampire, in a pumpkin, & as a skeleton), a Frankenstein hand, lots of spider webs, a huge spider, witch & pumpkin lights...and many more.  But thanks to Pinterest, I found more decorations!  These are just the simple mason jars with tissue paper lanterns that I've seen many different people pin.  Don't judge me on the quality of these pictures, they are from my lovely & outdated 3G iPhone.  It just involves cutting strips of tissue paper & modge podging them onto the mason jars, overlapping them to get the nice striped effect.  Then cut out their faces & rims of jars from construction paper...add a candle & voila!  Super cute :)

And lastly here are my 3 costumes for the year!! Nothing fancy since I never had time to come up with something clever due to all the thought it took to get my thesis done.  There was Halloween Kickball, the Block Party at Carlotta, and the first ever Halloween Parade in Baton Rouge!
